Privacy Policy

Courtwise ("we", "us") is an online tennis pro shop based in Vaughan, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through courtwise.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

• Waitlist sign-ups. Your email address and a record that you agreed to receive launch updates, including the date and the page you signed up from.
• Emails you send us. If you write to clubs@, partners@ or [email protected], we receive your message and contact details.
• Usage and advertising data. We use the Meta Pixel, which records page visits and whether you joined the waitlist, together with technical details such as your browser, device and IP address. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account.
• Virtual Coach preview. The questions you type into the coach preview on this page stay in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored.

How we use it

• To email you launch news and updates about Courtwise, only if you have opted in.
• To reply to club, supplier and general enquiries.
• To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:

• Kit (kit.com) stores our waitlist and sends our emails.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and forwards email sent to our courtwise.ca addresses.
• Meta Platforms provides the Meta Pixel and advertising measurement.

These providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to local authorities under the laws of that country.

Cookies and tracking

The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram Ad preferences. The rest of the site does not need cookies to work.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email we send.
• Access, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
• If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and keep business records.

Children

Our waitlist is meant for parents, adult players and club staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Courtwise grows, for example when the store opens. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Email [email protected].
